BFAM has been helping develop the first indigenous-owned consumer product; a water brand sourced with pure mountain spring water from Mt. Kilimanjaro. Called Enkare, this project will empower Maasai women who will own and operate the company in Kenya, with the goal to provide the highest quality drinking water to locals and tourists throughout Africa.
Working with the 6th grade class at Del Mar Pines Elementary School in San Diego, CA, BFAM is launching a penpal program with children in Kenya. We hope to establish a global connection between the two cultures promoting global citizenship and peace.
For the past several years, the folks at BFAM help organize and support food and clothing drives for the homeless in downtown San Diego. The best part is going down there on Sunday mornings to hand out everything we collect! Please keep an eye out on our Events page for our next trip, we hope you’ll join us!
